Fundraising

This year Man on the Run will make a significant difference to the life-saving work carried out by Cancer Research UK, by supporting a specific research project, currently running. This really will enable you to see the difference your money makes and how it will shape the future of treatments given to male cancer sufferers.

Cancer Research UK MyProjects (registered charity no. 1089464) is a new innovative fundraising website created and run by Cancer Research UK, similar to that of Justgiving, and will allow all participants to all fundraise in support of a specific part of research to make a massive difference.  Man on the Run has its own dedicated page where each runner will be able to set up your own fundraising page which can be personalised with photos, videos, personal stories and even your own blog!

We’re asking each runner to take a couple of minutes to set up your own fundraising page (we will be providing a simple ‘how to’ guide’) as it will make it so much easier for you to raise money than just using a conventional sponsor form. The website allows you to share your page with friends and family by email or Facebook at the click of a button, and this new addition to Man on the Run 2011 is going to help you to help us raise even more money than ever before!”

Set up your fundraising page in 3 easy steps:

  1. Visit the men’s cancer fundraising page on Cancer Research UK’s MyProjects website
  2. Click on the “Create a Fundraising Page” button
  3. Fill in the form, personalise your page, click save and you’re done!

If you would prefer, there is also the option to use a conventional sponsor form.  If possible please bring your sponsor money (cheques addressed to Man on the Run) on the day.  If you are collecting and returning sponsor money after the event please address cheques to Man on the Run and send to: Man on the Run, 7 Craddock Drive, Canterbury, Kent CT1 1DJ.

Last years event saw almost 300 entries and over £10,000 raised.
